What was the challenge or problem to solve?
This project is a prime example of how INFINITIA is capable of turning a simple idea into an industrializable product that is user-centered, combining both induction and gas cooking.
The starting point was a hybrid cooking technology, combining gas and induction, disconnected from the electrical grid, with a clear innovative component but presenting significant inconveniences for the users who tested it.
The solution to this challenge was approached through a collaborative process carried out by the Product Development team. Initially, a market study was conducted, analyzing both the competition and the needs and difficulties of gas and induction kitchen users. This preliminary analysis allowed for the identification of the essential requirements the new product should meet, ensuring its technical viability and market acceptance.
With a solid foundation established, the team proceeded to the ideation phase, where, through brainstorming sessions and techniques of sketching and digital illustration, innovative concepts that met the identified requirements were generated. This creative stage was crucial for outlining proposals that were not only technically feasible but also offered an optimal user experience.
Once the best ideas were selected, the process moved towards functional design and prototype creation. This step included the development of demonstrators and the conducting of concept tests with real users, using mockups and renders to validate the effectiveness of the user interface and measure the necessary learning curve. This user-centered approach allowed for precise adjustments to the design, ensuring that the final proposal was functional and attractive.
Finally, based on the results obtained and a detailed study of the suppliers and their manufacturing processes, the final product proposal was developed. This design, now ready for industrial-scale production, met all the manufacturing and assembly requirements, guaranteeing an unprecedented user experience.
The outcome of this project was an innovative product that stood out for its ease of use, with a design focused on the user and its ability to seamlessly integrate two cooking technologies.
